I meant directly, GameSpot will be giving them their share. I try to buy most of my Steamworks games from other stores.

That came out of nowhere, i bet it has something to do with the Origin vs .Steam argument, but i can't figure out how Valve would benefit from it except for a few more sales

So instead of just requiring Steam, you can buy it from a place that requires both Impulse and Steam? Doesn't seem like a consumer savvy purchase.

But at least it makes EA's Origin exclusive stance look less acceptable. I'm still hoping they can just come to some agreement.

Ive never bought anything on Impulse and I never will. No matter what. I don't trust bastards, I don't trust anything with Gamestop logo.

It won't require Impulse because you are just buying a key to activate on Steam from GameSpot. Origin is the same except that many games don't even require the client to run and redeeming your keys on Origin is optional.

Didn't Direct2Drive sell Valve games for a long time?

I really don't understand any joy in giving money to Gamestop over Valve.
