When is the DayZ standalone coming out?

The site has said December 2012 for a while now, and Rocket(dev) has said soon™ in several of his recent forum posts, so I'd assume sometime this winter.

Well, TotalBiscuit took a look at War Z. He was not impressed it seems.

Pretty much everything I've read about this game has been overwhelmingly negative. I'd stay away from it. There hasn't been this much hate towards one game in quite some time.

I also see a lot of people coming back to the fact that these are the guys that made Big Rigs.

They changed the steam store page, it's now a bit less misleading. You still have to read right through the bullshit.
E.g. "No Classes, No Levels, No Caps: Create your own survival campaign."
Translate: "Lots of content missing, and we'll make it look like a feature."

For those that dont know whats going on regarding WarZ, why so many people hate it and so on. Then check the link it has pretty much all the details if not most on whats been going on.

It actually got taken down, store page is still there, but no one can purchase it. The chaos is amazing.

Update:
The War Z has been removed from Steam's new release list. Valve has provided a statement regarding what's going on:

"From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam. We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchased the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site here."

As of now, The War Z is still listed on Steam, but it can no longer be purchased. Since the "Foundation Release" of The War Z on December 17 it was the top selling game on Steam.

I do feel bad for the people who were scammed by misleading information, but the sheer amount of information that's coming into the light is insane. And the people who are fighting and defending the devs are acting like people are trying to kill the game entirely.
