StingingVelvet: My battle.net account just shows "WoW Cataclysm". Does that mean it's a scam or are betas listed elsewhere than the account summary page?
Elenarie: Take a look at the pictures. Now, I have never participated in a WoW related beta, so I may be wrong here, but I think that's how it should look like. Once you're in the beta, your PTR account would get upgraded so that you would be able to play the beta, instead of on PTR servers.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
(anyways, with SC2, people had a separate account for the beta version that got removed once the game was released, and now the PTR account serves a similar purpose to WoW's PTR = use it to play on the latest patch before it is released.)
This is entirely right and fits what my account page (with Beta access due to WoW annual pass) looks like.
