Is ACTA Effective immediately - as in, are all details of the agreement been enforeced now, or is their some small waitig period between signing and enforcement.

It has to be ratified by the European Parliament first. That's the last hope for us (I mean us living in EU).

I may take 2-3 years for ratification of the treaty.

Signing by prime ministers / foreign policy ministers etc is just the beginning.

It will take much time to ACTA finally come in force/

so though its been signed in aus (october last year i think) it's still not effective?
