First, I'm going to congratulate GOG.com for "killing" 2 years BETA label.. (and pulling a very bad stunt with "this whole situation" that I hate because I love you)

Anyway.. just an Idea..

Beside getting the game's manual, sound tracks, artworks or other goodies as bonuses, GOG should include the game's original Box Art (complete with old PC Specs and summaries on the back).

Oh, how I missed reading "IBM PC 100% Compatible AT/XT, Tandy, 640KB RAM, EGA/CGA graphics"..

(sorry for putting a link here, please check this wonderful cover art: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=58 04)

I know many of the print materials such as box arts are very rare and hard to get. But at least you guys can ask and encourage publishers to include it to the bonus items.

The spirit of Good Old Games are not just some newly created wallpapers or facebook avatars.. but also the packaging too. am I right?
Been discussed before. Unless they get the approval of publishers, I don't believe they are allowed to release them, due to legal infringements.

But you can always check out our unofficial DVD covers...

GameRager: If they can show a picture(however small) of the front box art on the game purchase pages which anyone could right click save, then they should post full size images as well. Just my two cents.
There's a difference between using a small picture of the box art - something that could be considered fair use even without publisher consent - and providing pirates the means to make their warez look more legit.

Hmm.. That makes sense.

In this digital download era, I really missed the box art :D
But I guess I can only watch my games collections on GOG's "virtual shelf" hehehe..

Succinctly said. On that note, Mobygames also has the box art for most games here, if you'd like to use them for references.
