langurmonkey: Is that the show with one of the episodes about a B17 bomber during WW2 and the bottom ball turret gunner barely makes it back home alive?
avatar
tinyE: Yeah, I mentioned that episode in my OP. They lose their landing gear and at the last minute the gunner does a drawing of the plane with 'cartoon' wheels and POW they come out of the plane and save his life.
Sucked to be a bottom ball turret gunner on a B17 during WW2...

tinyE: Not to be a pest but someone please tell me they remember that show? I can't be the only one who waited all week with baited breath for the next episode of "Amazing Stories".
I remember hearing about the show but don't think I ever saw it. Interesting about the gunner from a WW2 bomber. I saw a documentary the other day, unfortunately the gunner in that one must not have had a pencil and paper on hand. I think they really should have had the gunners with a parachute and crowbar or something to break open the dome and bail out if all else fails.
Well since the assholes are out I might as well give them some more to have at.

There was another episode where this misfit be all end all screw up ends up saving his entire platoon during D-Day only to later be discovered that he was actually killed right after he hit the beach and thus it was his ghost that saved everyone. Loved that episode!

Not only do I remember (my favorite was the Brad Bird- directed "Family Dog") but it's on Netflix to stream!
Go relive your childhood! :)
Anyone know if they solved that problem in Simon 3D where you can't actually finish the game?
I wonder how far I can drop just talking about fantasy tv shows? :P

Anyone watch the 4th of July Twilight Zone Marathon on Sci-Fi channel? It's my dream to one day run through a crowded airport terminal screaming, "Don't get on board, it's a cook book!"

I upvoted your OP because I got the sarcasm you were going for (which you clearly explained in the following post), but I think there's no need to push it, man =P

I do! XD Fuck em! Let em derep me to hell and back, I'm not going anywhere and I'm not going to censor myself to avoid upsetting the delicate sensibilities of these ass clowns. There are people in here who post twisted offensive things all the time and they don't get hit yet I get nailed for reminiscing about a fond childhood memory. No, I'm afraid that doesn't fly with me.

Now where was I?

"There's a man on the wing of this plane!"

I used to watch the show when I was a kid. I remember liking it a lot, though I don't remember the stories since I haven't seen the show since it originally aired.

Has anyone played Waxworks or Robinson's Requiem? What did you think? They look interesting but I know nothing about them except from reading the reviews on the gamecards.

Your link is broken. :P
Ah. Back to the good - old - weekend deals. But current deals are just not my type of games. Well.. I'll just wait until end of year sale.. or maybe until any sale on Fall season. I remember there was pay $10 for any 5 indie games last year. That was my first purchase on GOG.
some nice games there although being not an adventure fan most i can skip.
Regarding Amazing Stories, I saw only a few episodes in VHS, I remember the bomber one and the one with Christopher Lloyd as an teacher
