Finally back at my gaming PC. Steam wanted to update, so I do so. Now 3 of my games (Max Payne 3, New Vegas and Skyrim) have told me they need to reconfigure into a new format? And now after doing so they are redownloading the entire game again?

Anyone know what is up with that?

Either new patches, or new compression. Couple of games I'd not played for a while did it to me : Skyrim and Fallout:New Vegas to name 2....It broke something on Skyrim, because of the mods I need to use to make it playable on my 6-year old, single-core PC, but reinstalling SkyUI fixed it...

They've been migrating some games to the new content format. I think it's supposed to make patching easier or something.

Thanks for the simple explanation and link, Megaman. I was worried it was switching me to Russian versions or some crazy shit.
