Popinjay: ::snip::

Then invest heavily in GoG financially and send them food stock regularly (cookies and Polish vodka) this should ensure that your data is safe.

Failing that and GoG collapses you are morally entitled to download the torrents.

Well that's what I do.
I have seen none of this Polish vodka and cookies. I must accost my co-workers when I get back from vacation!

hedwards: And yes, it is rife for abuse, not sure why it hasn't been fixed, or at least limited to accounts with fewer than a dozen posts or that have been here for less than a week.
It's been tweaked now. I believe if you own games beyond the default ones, you don't get banned.

Gilou: I don't know if it has been submitted but here's my remark related to the topic :

What if one gets banned?

- Would he lose all the games he purchased?
- Would he only be banned form the forum and be deprived to access the forums related to his games (depriving him of technical support)?
You don't lose access to your games. And if you're banned from the forums you're banned from all of them.

Kabuto: But he said you can't get banned if you bought a game now so that little snippet is rendered moot.

cogadh: I'm pretty sure he meant you can't get auto-banned via downrepping; there's really nothing stopping the GOG staff/admins from banning anyone.
Yeah, this. GOG.com has been forced to have an admin ban, I think, two users since we started.
