I think I didn't watch television in almost three years! Am I the only person in the world to have done that? Sometimes people think I'm strange since I never use my TV...
When I want to watch something I seek it on the internet (only legal ways, trust me) or pick up some DvDs. The last two series I followed were Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who, both with a wide delay after release. Anyway, in Italy television is worse than awful, especially considering the fact it's filled with garbage programmes and adulterated news (like that time when the most famous newcast in Italy stated that our "beloved" ex-prime minister was acquitted because "he didn't commit the fact" while instead it was for prescription... but that's normal, since he owns nearly ALL the TV stations).
