So, what was everyone's first computer? Mine was a Compaq Ipaq, for those who don't know what that is, here's a link to a Wikipedia page about it.

I got it around 2001, 2002. I played my first few games on it, Unreal, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, ect.
Its still usable, but its terribly slow. Sometimes I think its because of today's SO ADVANCED internet, because when I last fixed it up (It had a nearly perma Blue Screen.) I had the internet working on it, and it was drastically slow!
But it was a very good computer for the time, lasted the entire 128 bit era, and still running!

i'm not sure it was either a zx81 or a BBC micro...

Later upgraded to a whooping 1MB of RAM, to play Prince of Persia :)

I gave it as a gift to my cousin, together with monitor, 1541, Action Replay and 250 disc because I was buying brand new Pentium 75 and I thought I’ll never need such crap…I was so stupid…

I think mine is till somewhere packed at my parents farm. I didn't have one legally bought game for that comp. My brother was much more nerdy than I was and I ditched it rather soon for consoles. Didn't get back to pc untirl pentium 133. But my brother had always a pc around, which I also used a lot. A, those old requirements... "200 MB hardrive?" I'm never gonna get that full

My first computer was an old Intel AT-XT. I learned how to use DOS on it back when I was 2 (my father noticed my fascination for computers so he taught me how to move folders and delete them (he always put me in a secure area of the computer first, though)).

My first game on it was a little game he programmed to teach me how to type. Then, I had a Disney puzzle game (I still have the disks).

C64. My first IBM compatible was a P120.

Lucky you...Few years later I asked my cousin about my Commodore - but it was gone - he just thrown it away :-(

I've seen somewhere a C 64 joystick with all necessary hardware and 150 games packed into the Josytick so that you can plug it directly into the TV. But I think those run on emulation.

Did you have a disk or a tape drive? The first thing my cousin did, was to "mod" the spring of my diskdrive so I could go searching for those ejected disks on the other side of the room ....
