Hahah... well, everything is better with an added old guy playing the banjo! 'Tis the truth!
Is there any game that has banjo bluegrass as background music? I kinda would like to try that, for the laffs. I actually kinda like bluegrass, it puts me in a good-ironic mood.
EDIT LOL!!! I actually wrote my post before I looked at those!!!!!
EDIT2: I now saw all the boxshots with the Banjo man added. Seems like my words proved prophetic in reverse.

I can't compete with this level of awfulness although with a cover like that you have to wonder what the game was like.
Just stumbled into this one on mobygames which manages to make a subject like D-Day drab. I can only assume they decided they wouldn't reach their target audience if it looked to offer any excitement or entertainment.

A couple I can remember off the top of my head:
But before showing the bad ones, here's the box art for the Japanese version of the very first Bomberman game on the PC Engine. It's simple and rather charming.
I have shown you that, so that I can show you this: The US cover of the very first Bomberman game on the TG16 (US version of the PC Engine).
Ugh.
And for my second choice, the cover art of Strider II. I thought it captured the lithe, wiry hero of the series really well. "You make Strider MAD! Strider SMASH BAD MANS!!!"

That's odd, I just clicked on it and up it popped. Perhaps this will work instead. Edit: It brings up the main page for that, you can click on the cover art picture along the right hand side.
Also, I just noticed someone has already posted the Bomberman cover. Grr.
