I'm just wondering cause both Steam and Gamersgate have sales on at the moment and I would prefer to support GOG but I will buy whatever the cheapest.

GOG sales usually run from Friday thru Monday, with a mini-sale (one particular game) on Wednesday. Once in a while they do special larger sales, but it's not a regular event. I'm told that there's usually a pretty big sale right around Christmas, so if you're willing to wait a few weeks, there should be plenty of shopping for you to do here.
