I know ME3 will be the be all spoiler but if it's the best one, I'd hate to finish the first one and then drop dead having never played the best of the series.

Start with the first. Seriously. Not only is it best to start in the beginning due to how the importing works, it's also the superior game.

Except the combat. The combat is pretty bad.

No offense but starting a trilogy with the third game is just mad. Don't do it, besides the first one is the best game. It showed so much promise.

Yeah, you should start with the first one, just to get all the story. But good luck getting that to run proper.

The second one is the best in my opinion, followed by the third and then the first one.

Mass Effect 1 imo is not that deep, Dragon Age: Origins was more deeper than all 3 Mass Effects combined.

Considering how the savegames transfer I no longer even consider them seperate games, start with the beginning of the story.

Mass Effect 1 then 2 and then about 90% of 3.

I'm planning to start playing Mass Effect too. Get the Trilogy pack, that's what I plan to buy !

I haven't played them yet, but from what I saw on youtube and around the net, it seems to be story driven so I doubt it's a good idea to start with ME 3.


Does anyone have an idea of how long would the trilogy last me if I do most of the side-quests and stuff ?

One has best story, music and cool planet roaming.

Two has the best... characters I guess? And maybe environments.

Three has the best combat.
