Out of my wishlist, I have these titles:

Desperados

Gabriel Knight 2

Gabriel Knight 3

Guilty Gear X2

The Journeyman Project 2

The Last Express

Realms of the Haunting

Septerra Core

Star Control 1+2

XIII

The Last Express is one I'm heavily leaning toward for one of them, but what do you think?

I'm waiting until the weekend to buy to see what kind of sale happens, but these are the options I have so far.
Get Star Control. Forget the first one, play the hell out of the second one.
XIII is a really cool, unique game, with lots of character.
I would suggest it.

Septerra Core is a quite decent Western version of a JRPG.
Last Express

doooo iiiiittt
Last Express should definitely be one of the 5.99 GOGs.

I really liked septerra core, though I'm a sucker for those games. It is very long though, and towards the end gets very easy (till it crashed on me and lost me about 10 hours of play, never bothered with the last bit).
I vote Septerra Core as well.
Gabriel Knight 2.
The Last Express and Guilty Gear, since they'll scratch two very different itches.

Don't get Star Control, the open source Ur-Quan Masters is a better version of SC2 in just about every way, making the DOS version obsolete outside of nostalgia.

True, but buy it anyway, then play UQM.
Buy 'The Last Express'. I haven't played it, but it sounds like you're interested, so go with your gut.

Get 'Guilty Gear X2 #Reload', because it's awesome. That's my personal recommendation.

Play 'The Ur-Quan Masters'. It's the ultimate version of Star Control 2, it's free and has been ported to everything.
Desperados and Septerra Core.

I still have my Septerra Core save game files, since I recently finished it. if you want them let me know and I'll upload them somewhere.

This is easy.

You should get The Last Express, it's a pretty unique adventure title and you're interested in it already.

As for the other $5.99 game, if you liked the first Gabriel Knight game, you really can't go wrong with GK2. It's a bit different (it uses FMV), but the story's as good as in the first one.

Be sure to check out GK3 at some point in the future, too,. It's my personal fave of the series and it's amazingly well written.
Realms of the Haunting is great. I would recommend that.

I just got The Last Express myself, haven't played it yet. And Guilty Gear is a good series but I haven't played it on PC.
