for me the most trustfull reviewer has to be TotalBiscuit not only is he funny(and have a voice that is as sexy as the Cinema Snob, and I'm straight)but he gives you some very insightfull information about the games he shows
Yahtzee. O usually believe folks here on GOG too. If I need second opinion Metacritic score with breakdown and Gamespot.
I got Darksiders in a bundle and not knowing much about what it was about, I gave it a try. My first impression was that it was just like God of War with a change in the setting, so my friends linked me the Total Biscuit review at it was spot on. Generally a check metacritic, ign, and gamespot, and it if it's not above 7/10, then I don't give it another look, with games that look interesting and having an 8/10 or higher usually finding a spot on my wishlist. I know I will probably miss some good games or end up with some bad games but that usually seems to work out.

I tend not to trust the reviews here too much because nostalgia tends to interfere with objectivity.

I sometimes casually view Total Biscuit and some others (Spoony, Roo from Clan of the Gray Wolf, and maybe Yahtzee on a rainy day). I just don't pay too much attention to reviewers that much anymore.

Soyeong: *snip*
Don't even bother with IGN. They are bunch of pay-to-get-90+ guys.

About nostalgia and objectivity...you should find someone whose opinion you can trust. Just tastes matching, plain and simple. :)
I still use sites like Gamespot and IGN.
Also speaking of TotalBiscuit, I like that guy. Especially as he reviews lesser known games too.
I read forums and check youtube reviews/previews. People like TB and Spoony, not any channels from mainstream video game news sources. I can't remember the last time I read a "professional" review for a game.
I just look at user reviews from anywhere. And forums. Or watch some game videos to see it in action myself.

I don't really put any stock in reviews from professionals anymore. I think they get caught up in the hype too often and usually value polish and graphics over creativity and flat out fun. I do think reviewers used to be more reliable though.

Some of my favorite games have subpar scores.
I go with destructoid, especially if Jim Sterling is reviewing the game.
I don't really trust any site or reviewer to share my opinion. I don't know of any reviewers that focus on what I focus on to any real extent. I usually just use forums and watch youtube videos.

That said, reviewers I generally respect would be Brad Shoemaker, Jeff Gerstmann, Richard Cobbet and Kevin Van Ord.
They are not as comprehensive as the really big sites but if they have something to say about the
game I'm looking for, I go to Rock Paper Shotgun and Twenty Sided. They know their video games
history (they wont hail modern mediocrity as revolutionary), know how to write (you won't
find awful grammatical constructs) and are PC gamers (the one true way to game).

I tend to use my own judgement, but if I'm curious I'll probably check out some youtube videos on the game and maybe some random reviewers.

Yeah you would fit right in there.
yahtzee is pretty much the only persons opinion that i care about. it works for me. i can usually tell when he puts down a game that i may still like and isnt bad, and a game he puts down cause its shit and i wouldnt like it.
