when I played DF for the first time I wondered who was the actor for the emperor because it was a great performance for an small role

I heard it was some guy that the BethSoft crew knew personally and acted part-time.

I heard it was a local actor. Bethesda has an history to hire local actors and voice actors for most of their games (Elder Scrolls series, their Star Trek games).
