Penquin: Turning UAC off isn't that great of an idea even if you are a power user. It's basically the same as password prompts for installs and updates that most Linux distros do, so real nerds should have no issue with it anyways. :p It's slightly annoying, but the extra security for stopping any virus that does manage to worm it's way through is worth it, IMO.
Yeah, well, so you know, I had UAC turned on but it wouldn't let me delete some files.
Files on an older hard drive I was cleaning up. Files that were there for years and I had no use for.
Why wouldn't it let me delete stuff? I'M THE GODDAMN ADMIN. That made me turn it off completely. I get what they're trying to do, but shit like that ain't necessary. :(
