cw8: If GOG could get the old KOEI games, you might know them for the Dynasty Warriors spam of recent years, but in actuality they made great historical grand strategy games and openworld games in the past, games like Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Genghis Khan, Bandit Kings of Ancient China, PTO, Uncharted Waters, etc. If those came to GOG, it'll be really neat!
Oh man, I would love to have
Genghis Khan II and
Pacific Theater of Operations on GOG. I won't hold my breath that it will happen, but they would really belong here.
On that note, it's disappointing that
Aerobiz Supersonic was never ported to PC. Great simulation game.
Elmofongo: I like to see Square release Final Fantasy 1,4, and 6 with those improved 2D graphics on PC and Final Fantasy Tactics.
Darvond: When you say 'improved' do you mean the crap they offered from the GBA era, the crap they used for the iOS, or do you mean actually improved?
What crap? I can't vouch for IV Advance (I think it was a port of the Wonderswan remake), but the other GBA ports (
Dawn of Souls, V Advance and VI Advance) were all pretty good. My only real complaint was that DoS reduced the difficulty of FF I/II way too much; they should have kept it closer to the difficulty of the
Origins (PS1) version. The iOS ports do look like crap, though.
Anyway, unfortunately, only VII and VIII were ported to PC, so chances are that we'll never see the other FF games on the platform.
