Shaolin_sKunk: While we're here was anyone else a little insulted about the whole color thing? One of the big reasons I loved the first game, and I've seen others mention this too, was the atmosphere and obviously the color palette plays a large role in that. I never was very vocal about it but the dev's dismissive attitude really bothered me as someone who was a huge fan of the series and even the company for a long time. My perception of Blizzard instantly changed and I realized the guys who made the games I loved probably didn't even work there anymore.
Indeed, a quick check at Wikipedia shows the guys who designed the first two games did not design the third.
Well, there is some solution to this - it's
DarkD3 Even comes with a font thingy that changes the dropped items font to the one similar in the previous games. I've been using it back when i played and got no troubles whatsoever. In fact, if i could be arsed to play again i won't ever play without it. Makes the game look like what a diablo game is supposed to.
