Scorpion got tons of games.

He's just so badass of a ninja you can't spot him.

I will concede that Scorpion is Ed Boon's favourite, as admitted by the man himself, a fact alone that gives him major props. But also consider that Sub Zero survived the destruction/disbanding of the Lin Kuei following the abject failure of their cybernetics program, and went on to start it anew, and not in a half-assed way either. Frost was a miscalculation, but so was The Next Karate Kid.

Wasn't the original Sub Zero killed after the first game though? I could have sworn after beating the second game with him, it said it was his brother or something that won the tournament to avenge him, but it has been ages since I played an MK game.
I really liked those Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter videos. Thanks!

I'd assumed that anyone who knew enough about the DLC would already know about the available editions of the game. If you didn't pay attention to the editions of the game, which were announce long before future DLC packs, you probably didn't care about the game enough to know about said DLC packs.

Sub Zero wasn't thrown into a Soulnado. And Scorpion hasn't had his own game. And in the end, Scorpion becomes subservient to the younger Sub Zero, or at least pledges his protection to him as reward for drawing out Quan Chi's confession to Scorpion's family's murders. Which brings me to my next question: Since this new game is basically "Raiden time travels back to the original tourney", which Sub Zero is featured? I'm aware that Shao Khan is in the game, so I'm guessing it's MKII Sub Zero, the younger.
It's the second SubZero. The First, from MK1 is Noob Saibot.

Also, apparently Sub is on a vengeance agenda agaisnt Scorpion for killing his brother too.

Elder SZ is NS? When did that happen? I thought younger SZ was best friends with NS, or Smoke/Cyborg Smoke. Come to think of it, what's the deal with the NS/Cyborg Smoke tag team? Does the one have psychic possession of the other or something?

Anyway, at the end of MK4 (it was either SZ's or Scorpion's ending), Quan Chi had SZ on the ropes, and reveals that after the elder SZ killed Scorpion, Quan Chi went ahead and murdered his whole family. Then Scorpion appeared and mortally wounded or knocked out Quan Chi, and told younger SZ that his vendetta was over now that he knew Quan Chi was the one who killed his family. SZ walks away, and Quan Chi gets back up and starts to cast a spell to banish Scorpion back to the Netherrealm, but just as he finishes, Scorpion grabs him and literally drags him back to hell. And that's the setup for MK:DA

That began to happen in UMK3. Noob's ending would say he was actually a warrior from a previous MK. I'm not really sure when they made it official, but Noob's ending in MK deception tells this clearly. About Smoke, his human form was best friends with younger Sub Zero. His machine form was reformed/reprogrammed by Noob in DA, if I'm not wrong.

EDIT: Young Sub's vendetta is something exclusive from this New MK. I saw it in a video somewhere.

Reptile's classic content (costume/Fatality) is a bonus for those who pre-order from Amazon.
Crap, I just thought of something. Being the weird buggers they are, do you think Tobias and Boon would have put back in that awful AI mechanic from the very first MK that caused Raiden to do his "Flying Headbutt" move everytime you tried to uppercut him?
