I Have a new computer and, of course, It is windows 8. I just have to ask, do most of the GOG work on that OS?
As far as I understand, everything that works in W7 works in W8... might be wrong though.

Supported OS are shown on the game card, for example: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/syndicate.

Nothing "supports" Win 8.

I.e it might work, but no-one promises it.

The games that use DOSBOX will all run fine. Dunno about the others, but I guess most will.
I do undestand that windows 8 is not listed. I was just curious .

I wasn't suggesting you weren't just wanted to put the absolute answer up.

As for getting games working, I think you will find GOG support very helpful. You're basically a gineau pig for future situations, so when it doesn't work, log a support request with as much information as possible. You're a pioneer, and everyone loves them.

You can't eat a pioneer with cranberry! They have to be seasoned with mint for that. Most pioneers are better served with horseradish sauce.

I like to smear them with ginger marmalade. Mmm... ginger.

My favorite is the American Pie O'Near.

Really? Well, that's not my case. Ultima 7 won't even launch.

Can you give any more info than that?

Well, it should work... Maybe you can give a few more details?

Not necessarily:

So some extra tweaking may be necessary. Which I also find a bit surprising, considering we are talking about DOSBox games here which should be the least problematic.

Windows8 can cause problems with Securom activation.
