I just tried wine on ubuntu for the first time and was impressed with how easy it was. I installed raptor and alone in the dark and had both running perfectly in ubuntu. The gog installer puts the files in the proper location and even adds the shortcuts to the "start" menu, just like in windows. I was wondering how many other people here play their gogs in linux and what their experience has been like. I am especially curious if some of the games that won't work in windows 7 work in wine (like tex murphy).

There is both a and a [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/gog_games_that_are_working_fine_with_linux_wine/page1]thread devoted to games that work in Wine for Linux. I don't know how much discussion there is about Wine vs Windows 7 but there are quite a few people who play their GOGs on Linux. Personally I play them on my Mac-side. :)

IIRC, there's also going to be information on the wiki, whenever it gets to the point of being available to the public.

All the Tex Murphy games work fine on Win7.
Of course all games in DOSBox work fine in Linux.

There's even a linux ver of DOBox: http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1
Neverwinter Nights is working great using Wine 1.2.
Check out WineHQ for more info on compatibility.

Well... you can also get a native Linux client directly from BioWare...
