Not really sure how many people know about this, or why it hasnt been posted about yet but appears someone took the Freespace 2 engine and made a Wing Commander game. Found this on a good buddies news site and thought id repost it here.

"It has been 22 years since the release of the first game of the Wing Commander series of games, and since then it has become a very beloved series of games. Unfortunately, the last official title in the series was “Wing Commander Arena” for the XBox Live Arcade, which was released in 2007. Arena, however, was essentially a multiplayer space shooter that allowed for up to 16 simultaneous players and really wasn’t a stand-alone entry into the series.

Fast-forward to 2012, and now we are seeing the release of the first in a series of games called “Wing Commander Saga” that has been designed by a group of extremely dedicated fans and highly-skilled designers. I guess. I didnt look, its only been a couple days and since it wasnt on the front page of the Discussion i figured it wasnt heard of. Either way, it looks amazing and a 4th thread is deserved.

Well, that is inevitable sooner or later if you participate in a forum, I'm afraid. It is best to focus on your purpose is to help and not worry about it (I intended to open a thread on the topic myself -WC Saga-, if it was not discussed yet).
