Well, I'm playing The Witcher 2 on the Xbox without ever playing The Witcher 1 because my PC is terrible. Anyway, my question is what are the default settings for the choices Geralt made in the Witcher 1 that will affect the witcher 2? I assume CDPR had a solution for only having the Witcher 2 on xbox.
Well if the defaults are the same on Xbox as on PC - and I don't see why they wouldn't - *spoilers* the important decisions which actually do influence something slightly are: The path Geralt took. Basically, you could join the order of flaming rose, the squirrels, or just remain neutral. The default is neutral path. Another important one is whether princess Adda, Foltest's daughter, died or remained alive. She died as a default 'decision.' Other than that, I can't really remember anything all that important at all - there's a little reward if you help Thaler, Foltest's spy, aaaand I suppose that's just about it. The only decision I'm verry sorry about not carrying over at all is the romance one, other than that, TW1 was a fairly closed storyline.

So what I'm getting from that is that The Witcher 1 doesn't really affect TW2 all that much?
It kind of affects the game's world and changes a few conversations, but other than that, changes are really minor. I was quite saddened by that, actually - but hey, the original game really did have a fairly closed storyline, so I guess it's good no one poked it anymore. I hope the third game will be influenced by your decisions much more.
