deoren: I don't think that was the case. It fixed an EAX issue and the blur effect as Kingoftherings said, but I'm pretty sure it still required the disc in the drive. I ended up finding a fixed exe so I wouldn't need the disc in the drive. I find that horribly annoying.
I also found it annoying that I paid full price for the EE (on purpose) instead of buying orig and installing the patches that way (which would have been MUCH cheaper), and still had to deal with a disc check.
I'm glad to hear of this patch, but am annoyed with the whole registration thing. Still, it's better than not having the option at all.
Heh, I was annoyed because I hadn't heard about the release date of TWEE, so I bought the Witcher just a few weeks before the release of it. I still bought TWEE though, since I wanted the big physical behemoth of a gamebox. Was pretty cheap anyways IMO.
I also ended up using a fixed exe. I tend to do it for all my singleplayer games, though I backup the original so that I can update if necessary.
