Looking for some information on this game. I see its on sale at GG and being as I hate the base building / resource management that is usually associated with these types of games - I was glad to see that is not a part of this one. Looking for opinions as I value those here more than elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

Edit - Found a Demo and I am downloading it - still would like to get some opinions.

The demo was pretty cool, though I sucked at it. Have you taken a look at the demo?
Love the game. Excellent campaign, brilliant visuals and easily one of my favourite strategy games out there.
I like it. Basically you have certain pool of points for which you purchase available units. After their loss you get refunded, so you only lose some time.
The story is quite good, but it was a bit short for my taste. Cannot comment on the expansion, though, didn't play it.

Multiplayer is another story, basically you can connect into games in progress, take one role (infantry, armor, artillery,...) and fight.

For the price it is a steal, I'd buy it if I hadn't it already.
Just picked up World in Conflict - Collector's Edition at Half Price Books. I even got a piece of the Berlin Wall !!
I picked up the Soviet edition which is both games for €10 bargain. Great game but rather hardware heavy,

Not worried about the hardware. Are you referring to the Soviet Assault add on or something else?

I suppose - but I'll give the publishers credit for knowing a good marketing opportunity when they see one.
As someone else said great campain I live in seattle so it really hit home. Easily near the top of my fav game list of all time. Unit ordering and artilry managment is great fun as well.

The World in Conflict CE contains a piece of Berlin Wall. Whether it is a real piece, or just a random chunk of concrete said to be a piece of it, I don't know.
