I'm really liking that price, and the components don't sound too shabby, either. Would this run Skyrim well? Thanks.
Yes it will!
Skyrim is not very demanding and here you have a descent quad core + a good graphic card.
4 Gb ram is okay.
Compare the specs to Skyrim system requirement, i think it's good enough. And with that price, you can't go wrong.
It will run it, and them some. Be sure to check out the graphical enhancement mods already out, since a 6850 is more then equipped for handling them.
Awesome, because when I first noticed the price and what it came with, I was thinking there was no way something that cheap could run Skryim. Glad to hear that isn't the case :)
My setup is a bit below that and plays Skyrim with 1920x1080 screen resolution and everything maxed at around 25FPS so you should get even better.
but if you get an awesome rig, you can put in all the graphics mods that make it look extra purty

Nothing short of a supercomputer will ever be able to run Crysis on max though. ;)
My PC is worse than this and it runs Skyrim easily on high details.
Target platform for Skyrim was the Xbox 360, so any decent and relatively new PC should be easy to run it with ease. You could probably shave off at least 150$ and still have a machine that runs it very well.

Honestly though, I was thinking about maybe bumping up the RAM a bit on this setup, 4GB is a little low, and I'd still get it. This is a pretty damn good deal.

If your budget allows, then I'd always recommend taking 8 GB over 4 GB, yes. Though with regard to Skyrim Performance, getting a better CPU would probably have a more noticeable effect.

You might want to look into these benchmarks:

Maybe it'll give you an idea on what hardware you would need.

There's another bundle on Newegg with those exact upgrades, and it's less than $200 extra, too :)

Skyrim is a 32 bit program which makes 4GB of ram the absolute maximum it can use, after the latest patch. Of course, more ram is better for other things, but it won't make a tiny difference for Skyrim in particular.
