Zchinque: If you don't follow the traditional customs (shame on you!), Xyem has said that the winners are free to hold on to their prize until there is something they want released. As far as I know he has not mentioned any expiration date for claiming a prize.

I definitely have to look into making a FAQ or writing how this all works sometime soon (maybe when I get around to automating a lot of it..).

Zchinque is correct, there is no expiration on claiming your prizes (at least, none that I am imposing :P)
