Roughly these ones to some degree. As long as it runs in DOS, you can TRY to get it working on your phone. The actual amount you'll be able to play is going to be a lot, lot smaller.



Also, the old Lucasarts point and click games aren't too bad on a phone using Scummvm if you have any of those.

Baldur's Gate allegedly works on a tablet with GemRB on Android. I can't attest to how successful this is personally, am tempted to give it a whirl soon though.

Also, there is a WIP engine for Myst in ScummVM. Again, I can't say how far development has come. Last time I tried it - about a year and a half ago - it refused to work.

I think Gobliiins also works on ScummVM...

So your smaller list are the dosbox games?
That's the first hurdle out of the way.

With the limited input options & relatively small screen on the phone, those that are actually playable is likely to be, as you predicted, much smaller.

That is really the point of the question, to avoid me wasting huge amounts of downloading & faffing, only to find that any particular game is unplayable.

Has anyone already tried any of these?

Point & click games work nicely, especially when you turn on absolute mouse positioning, which basically means that the cursor goes where you click on the screen. Not all games work 100% perfectly, but most Lucasarts games should as well as Sierra titles marked on the list.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers works with the latest nightly builds, even though it's not officially supported yet (the engine is still in development). It might still have problems but I haven't run into any yet, and there are reports that it's completable.

Won't work at all on the version from Google Play though, that's still a few releases behind (they only put major 'stable' releases on there).

Also, I've found Toonstruck works a lot better on the nightly build than the Play one.

Jagged Alliance 2 should also be playable, but you will need to mess around a bit. It's through the Stracciatela project, more info at the Bear's Pit.

Bringing this thread back for my own question. Scummvm says it supports the Leisure Suit Larry games with the SCI plugin, but all I get is blackness. Anyone able to help?
