Guessing this is an April's fool joke, and with limited rollout or maybe region based and rolling out to different locales as it passes midnight? I mentioned it to someone I'm talking to in the US and it isn't active for them at least, but it's active for me in the UK.

I tried to find a video which it suited to link as an example but it doesn't seem to be active for every video, so I'm just going to shill and link the only video I've ever uploaded instead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiBJ9Vw_GKQ) because it's active on that one.

Okay linked to someone else in the UK when I was typing this and it's not active for them yet either. Have I just gone crazy? is it active for anyone? (1911 button on lower right of videos, grainy look overall on youtube thumbnails etc.)

Yeah I agree. I guess maybe they're going for the random/wtf factor, if it is for april fool's and not any other reason - but it doesn't seem to make much sense as a 'trick'.
