The script installer fails.
The issue: I have the game installed to another directory and have a symlink to the game folder on my SSD. Galaxy writes a new folder over the old folder with the changes, and then can't execute because the game files are not present.
Solution: Stop having Galaxy overwrite the root install folder to place a script executable inside of it, and rather write INTO the root install folder. This will keep Galaxy from overwriting symlinks to the root install folder and failing to install or uninstall DLC.
The game in question is Steelrising.
Solution from my end: I have to copy the entire game folder back to my regular drive, then run the patch utility, THEN copy it back to the SSD, when in reality this could be solved simply by not being lazy and having the update installer write the whole folder over.
I think this would be an easy fix. But do the GOG staff even see these fora?
