First things first, I am VERY impressed with Galaxy 2.0 even if there are still some minor issues which make it hard for me to use as a replacement for Steam (some of which can be fixed, others are simply problems I created for myself by relying too much on Steam in the first place).

There's one thing that slightly bother's me about Galaxy 2.0 which has absolutely nothing to do with my reliance on Steam:
Users with big libraries who want to add tags and/or ratings can't select multiple titles with shift/ctrl/lasso, so we have to right click on each item individually instead of mass-tagging, which would be highly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is already on some roadmap, just asking if we could a rough estimate how high the priority is.

Pretty please :)

Hear, hear! I really want to use Galaxy 2.0, but it's a pain to sort through everything. Sure, I could tag things one at a time, but I have a library of 881. That's bad enough to do manually but beyond frustrating to do one by one.

Tag features needed:

Batch/mass tagging
The ability to filter using multiple tags (using AND logic when combining tags instead of current worthless OR logic)
The ability to automatically display all tags for all titles shown in the library.

Also nice would be an optional autotag feature which would automatically add game genre, game series (if prequels/sequels available), and publisher information to selected games. For instance, for Ultima Underworld the following tags would be added: "Genre: RPG", "Publisher: Origin", "Series: Ultima", "Series: Ultima Underworld". So, in the case of multiple genres, publishers, or nested series (i.e. a series within a series), either several tags could be added for each category or just the main / most relevant one for each category.

+1 for adding these features.
I've been going through one by one in a 1338 game library and it is a real headache. So +1 for getting mass tagging.

An issue related to having so many tags is that the filter for tags can't scroll so having that 20+ tags gets a little awkward to sort through.
Yes please i need this! One way to do this would be to add check boxes in the list view and grid view. And the option to tag all checked games at once. And one checkbox to select all. Similar to google mail etc.

I also miss being able to create filters combining different tags/properties with AND, OR, negation, parentheses. I suspect that would be too hardcore and nay not be implemented.

For example, to make a bookmark with #gems AND (#adventure OR #platforms) AND NOT #finished

IMHO combining tags with AND, OR and so on is easy to implement.

It would be really cool if they added function to import tags from Steam, for Steam and non-Steam games, which are available on Steam. Becuase I've found that Steam tags are great to group games collection, more accurate that Galaxy tags (when filter by genres), which have a lot mistakes.

The latest update added tag-import from Steam, uPlay and Origin. Go into the settings menu to find that option.

Well, when I click on that option and confirm it - nothing happens. Beside that the "Tags" option in filter function is greyed.
+ 1 on the Mass tagging for me as well

At the moment Im directly comparing this with Playnite. At the moment Playnite is winning functionality and presentation (mass tagging works like a dream on that, and you you can really go mad with the filtering). However Playnite seems to keep forgetting my Origin and Epic Game Store games, so GG2 at least wins on actually working as intended
Any news about this feature?
Without it, it's very difficult to migrate all my activities to Galaxy. I cannot reasonably filter out my pile of shame.
Galaxy 2.0 is an awesome idea, but feels a bit unfinished still.
We also need a global tag manager window, so we could easily check\rename\delete existing tags!
+1 for this, 2021 and wanted to use GOG to keep a backlog of finished/unfinished games, but I can't cope with doing this one by one for 400+ games.

Any progress on the mass tagging feature?

I bet it's still at 0% :\
