Is there a level cap in NWN? Standard D&D 3E rules cap at level 20 (although there are rules for "epic levels" above that). Is that enforced in NWN?

I've been wondering about the impact of taking a level or two of the Rogue class so that I don't have to have a hireling unlock all the chests I come across.

The original campaign in NWN will give you enough experience to get to around lvl 17 or 18. The expansions added epic levels, with a level cap of 40, although even in HotU you won't get anywhere near enough experience to hit the cap.

GOG's version has the expansion for epic levels included (level cap of 40)

There is a Plug-In (NWNx) For servers that will allow the legendary levels (Level cap of 60)

I Think that some servers have taken the Cap even futher, I just don't know how well it was done.
