I an trying to re-play NWN1 as sorc in hardest difficulty. My problem isn't survivability or anything like this, is that i NEED stoneskin and trow strong spells to survive >BUT< i can't rest often. I found myself using a mercenary and a familiar while i only watch the fight and save my spells to hard enemies because you can't rest often.

I like the idea of take more damage, do friendly fire and etc, but the lack of spell slots is killing me. Under what circumstances i can rest in hardest difficulty? I an trying to use magic wands in medium enemies, my bow in weak enemy(even if i miss 70% of my shots) and save my spell slots for tough enemies.

Looks like you need to walk out of the dungeon area, or possibly head back to an Inn before you rest.
The video is SoU.

In that campaign there are "dangerous areas" where you have to find a room and close the door.
Just as an FYI, the hardest difficulty is misleading and really not worth playing.

At level 1, an enemy with 10 strength will do 2d6 with a Greatsword, or 7 average damage. If it's on very difficult, he'll do 4d6, or 14 damage. So that is double damage (and will one-shot nearly all characters).

Now let's say you're level 10 and you're fighting an enemy with a Scimitar who does 1d6 + 30 damage, or 33.5 average damage. If it's on very difficult, he'll do 2d6 + 30 damage, or 37 damage. That's...definitely nowhere close to doing double damage and really kind of irrelevant overall.

Enemies with large damage dice have their damage increase a lot more than enemies with large bonuses (like magic weapons, high strength, sneak attack, etc).
