NWN2 is a great game, but is there a quicker / better way to craft items than just rummaging through the endless number of items you have in the inventory? I'd like to craft items but I never do it as it seems too time consuming as the way the system is put together just takes too freaking long to sort items out. Hell, even in old 1995 Final Fantasy games you can sort items by items,alphabetical order, etc.

What I found to be most practical, was to take one inventory page and put all essences in there in order of growing magnitude.

Time to time, I'd mash all new bones and giant heads and whatever into essences, and they'd hop right into the ready stacks in that one page.
Diamonds and such into carry bags, one bag for gems and so-on.

Pretty easy after a while, could be easier yet, but it was survivable.
