As of 2017 how would one go about playing on the multiplayer side of things after installing the game from the GOG client? I had bout NWN in 2015 to play with a few friends, they had walked me through how to play online but I can't seem to figure it out as of right now. Is there a sticky someone could refer me to to play again online? Thank you with much gratitude.

There are tutorials/tips spread all over the Web. Here is one of those. It should NOT matter where you purchased your Diamond version, GoG or otherwise, but you need a unique Key by request from GoG (DVDs furnish this automatically).

Pay particular attention to the Gamespy replacement resources and assigning the proper Port number. Firewalls can pose another hurdle but can be worked around.

The Client Extension on Neverwinter vaults is one solution, but it only allows you to play on already existing servers. We're currently trying to figure out how to set up our server
