Tom.Fagerlund: Im getting the pop-in bugg. Before with 1.0 all was perfect for me. Now the game looks like crap with all the pop-in. Have to wait for a fix before I can continue with Witcher2. It just sucks...
Oh so I'm not alone. :/

Not sure if this is something new in 1.1 or not as I just encountered this last night. In Act 1 when you're supposed to sneak around the back of the house (this is where I completely forget all of the names) after surrendering your weapons at the fort and sabotaging the ballista, I got caught and was forced to talk to the town leader. Finished the dialogue, left the fort, and grabbed my weapons. From that point on I was unable to save my game (either through the pause menu or by hitting F5), could not cast Signs, and could not draw my weapons. When a fight started, all I could do was stand there and move.
I often have this issue when I try to throw a bomb or set a trap in fight. My Witcher doesn't do it and I can't do anything but run. But it lasts only till I'm hit by a foe, then it is back to normal.

soldiergeralt: yep, calling the devs stupid is sure to get them on the case. moron.
Yes, they are stupid, for thinking someone might want to play with the numpad arrow keys, and NOT bind ANYTHING else in the numpad.

Idiot.

add really bad texture issues to that list...
And add constant crashes to desktop that weren't there with 1.0

I already reinstalled and went back to 1.0, because 1.0 worked perfectly fine for me, 1.1 is just a source of problems and errors for me.
When finishing the quest with the herb dealer, at the end when he agrees upon closing the shop, the screen fades to black and stays like that. you still hear all the environmental noises (steps, toads, etc.), you can move via 'wasd', space works and also LMB. but escape or ctrl for instance don't work.

It's 100% reproducable with my savegame (choose 2 time the option with loredo) and screen fades to black.

edit: hmm when you die, screen suddenly works again (death screen fades in!), so this has to be some special issue with the cut scene or whatever follows that quest at this stage.

edit2: there is another not that major bug: when you say "I will think about it" to the herb dealer, he sits down and is not available to talk to anylonger. can be reproduced with the same savegame as above.

I can't change difficulty setting after 1.1 patch. Does anybody have that issue?
I play with polish voice-over and subs and my menu is complatelly messed up. Part english, part polish.
I;m affraid i'll have to revert the game to 1.0
I've seen people mention this, but no idea if they worked around it.

If you want, you can upload your save to something like Mediafire and see if anyone else has the issue using your save (ie: is it intrinsic to your save, or does it involve your hardware in some way).

I know I never had this issue, so would be willing to try your save. If I get past it, I'd save again and send it back to you so you can continue on your merry way.

The save worked, but ran into the same black screen as you. However, when I tried the option of letting him off the hook, I also saw that your quest is bugged that way too. The townspeople are supposed to get mad that you didn't close the shop. So, I'd say whatever the problem is, it's a bit deeper than the cutscene not working.

Sorry, couldn't help you get past that, but if it's any consolation, you're not missing anything, so skip it and continue on with the game. :)

Also, put some clothes on! lol at your Geralt.
okay, thanks. hope some devs see this thread... but I guess so.

yeah I just sold all dlc items besides the gloves. it's horrible how imba they are, no fun at all. rather play with a naked geralt ^^

Yeah, I getting that 'grainy over everything' thing going on now, where-as I didnt before.
:(
OK.
Finished the game.

Some other issues encountered were:

Couldnt get weapon out/Sheath weapon sometimes. Had to quit game, and re-launch.

Sporadic targeting. Man, 1.0 was fine, but 1.1 just seemed to randomly target random enemies. Or, maybe that was just because I updated combat skills? Anyway, was a pain in the buttinski sometimes.
Maybe it's just me, but since 1.1 sometimes when i roll out of an enemy's range they end up hitting me anyways, halting the roll animation and cutting all input response for a couple of seconds, which in turn ends up being an almost guaranteed game over at early stages in the game... Maybe it's just that before the patch i just didn't noticed it, but i'm sure as hell it's happening now. As i said, not all the time.
