The game uses the quest item Endrega Pheromones in the alchemy, i doubt anyone really pay attention to all ingredients used
And thats the only item from the quest that seems to be impossible to find in Chapter 3

Which part did you take in Chapter 1? Iorveth or Roche's path?

If u take Iorveth path, you can get endrega thing from the cave under the loc muine (sp) when you killed the Queen endrega...

But if you take Roche path... There's nothing you can do about it... :-(

You can get that Queen Endreaga from Chapter I. There are side quests. But some people tend to sell anything that look useless. This quest probably caught OP off guard, and he couldn't believe it that he didn't have enough ingredients while most of them are common to find prior to Chapter III. Angry, sad and regret at the same time.

There seems to be a awful lot of shallow thinkers who sell everything not immediately usable.

This not the first post where someone sold something related to crafting in one chapter and then demanded their screw up be fixed in the next chapter!

Agreed, but I think the OP's problem isn't that they sold it so much as that he/she was using alchemy haphazardly and accidentally used up an important quest item that way.

Actually, many people have some measure of patience and do look them over.

I agree that it is a strange choice to have the game load quest items in alchemy though.

There are mods at http://www.witchernexus.com/index.php , by very patient, thoughtful individuals which deal with this. It is a common mistake, but avoided by more experienced players. (Experienced players have been bitten by it too.)

I like my RPGs to be realistic. Choices have consequences. Inatentativeness has consequences. I let the alchemy mixer eat mine up on first play. Der der der. Didnt' get mad. Got even.

I totally understand wanting games to be an escape from reality, in the sense of lower consequences and high success rate than real life. But that isn't the kind of escape I like from an RPG.

You can go there with Roche as well
