You should be more specific about where you're at in the game. "That part with the dragon" doesn't explain to anyone where you actually are. Are you at the QTE sequence? If so, which one? Or maybe you're stuck at the part before it?

I assume he means the part where you have to hide from the beast's fiery breath.
While I did manage to get past this section, I can't really give you any advice.
Be fast, and try, try, try.

Maybe have a look at youtube videos showing you the route?
It is hard, but keep trying.

no not yet . Had to start over missed a lot of things in game. I love this game
not your run of the mill rpg games thou, Im having fun by the way im 81 yrs old
been playing games for over 50 yrs cheers
