It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I start the launcher and it asks for the CD Key.

I enter the key that's written on the manual. Click activate. The thing turns off, without warning or error message. Try again, and it's the same thing. It asks for CD key then turns off. Help please.
Same thing happened to me, I have the game since release and playing fine, but I had to reinstall windows today. Now when I try to activate the launcher just shuts down .

Same...

People who seemed to have this problem , it was caused by antiviurus software. But i uninstalled everything of the sort..
I haven't even installed any antivirus yet, witcher 2 was the first thing I installed after all the OS updates :p Haven't played today and its driving me nuts :/
RARARARA bump
It might be that the servers are down. A patch is beeing uploaded to their servers, so it might get resolved when they turn those servers back up. Not sure how they got it wired
Yes, it's server maintenance: http://en.thewitcher.com/community/
As of now, no one who recently bought the game can activate it due to servers being down. Once the first patch is uploaded and the servers are up again your problem should be solved.

Oh i see , i bought the game at a bad time.

Thanks for the responses, i googled solutions for hours ^^
Well, it accepts my activation code now, but it just goes into an endless loop of redownloading a patch again and again. Any fixes?
