I've tried placing the save file in the Witcher 2 save file directory

~/Library/Application Support/com.vpltd.witcher2/GameDocuments/Witcher 2/gamesaves/

so I can import my game info from the previous game, but this causes TW2 to crash after the into cutscene. is there any fix? Both are the Enhanced Edition from the GOG store, and I'm running on macOS.
