i mean if i kill a massive kraken in witcher 2 i don't need something popping up saying "congrats you killed a kraken 100 pts"

does that somehow make people feel good? its pontless to me and puts a stupid pop up on my screen. i know i damn well killed a kraken i don't need you telling me.

It's not a "dumb achievements", it's a sort of easter egg to get a discount offer in the real world. Kinda funny to see how crazy things they can do. And it doesn't happen while fighting but while you are in a tavern playing poker dices.

Haven't you seen the clone of "Assassin's Creed" in the prologue ? Or heard the "Prison Break" dialogue in the La Vallette dungeon.
This is just pure joke that should make you laugh.

The only thing that you will probably see when killing kraken is the quest log updated on the left side of your screen... don't be angry so ! ;)
