I'm enjoying the game but the combat score is getting repetitive, I have have searched the forum and tried google but didn't find any relevant info.

Found the solution? I'd like to disable to music too.

The music is in the CookedPC/sounds/music folder in .fsb files. It's possible to unpack the music using an FSB unpacker, and it may be possible to repack the .fsb with the combat music replaced with identically-named tracks of your choice. However, I doubt the music is labeled clearly, so it'd probably be necessary to go through the tracks individually to find the ones you don't like.

Whether that would actually work or not is up in the air, but a quick google shows that it's possible in other games that use .fsb files for their music. Should be possible to find a tutorial that can be used as a general guide.
