Hi everyone,

I had read last year the the Witcher 2 suffered from extremely poor performance on the Mac, but I assume the game has been patched since. Can anyone tell me if the game is running ok now? I have a MacBook Retina, and I'd rather be able to play in the native 1440 resolution.

Do you have the 13" or the 15" version?

The 15" should have no problem running the game at fairly high settings at 1440x900 (I'm taking a leap of faith here, that you were refering to the native resolution of common 15" screens, as the retina native is either 2560x1600 for the 13" or 2880x1800 for the 15")

I would try to reset the SMC. Check Apple on how to (Just google "reset smc apple")

I have the base 15" my self. And find it capable running this game at high settings.

If you have the 13" version, you're running on a integrated GPU and would find a hard time running the game at pretty much any setting.
