I have been trying to fight the Kyran for a week without success.Maybe I´m to old and slow.

Don't feel bad, Flori. I'm having problems beating the Kayran, too. And I'm old (59) as well. I loved Witcher 1 but am hating Witcher 2 - finally trying it again after a year. I almost uninstalled TW2 when I first met the Kayran, half a night I spent trying to defeat it. Some suggest that we turn-off Difficult QTE. Maybe that can help you my good sirs.

It took me a couple of tries to beat this is as well.

Do some rolling when the monster is flapping it's tentacle and try to set up the magic traps. Right before he is about to slam down the tentacle, roll away. His tentacle should now be stuck, go over and chop the hell out of the glowing part. Do this for a couple of tentacles and he'll fall back into the water and throw big rocks. You can hide behind a large bolder that fell of the bridge ruin. Then, whenever your ready, run to the left and up the "ramp" of stone. I did some rolling to avoid the tentacles as I was running up the ramp. When you get to the top, it's done. Took a few tries but doable.

I went out and bought a game pad personally
That made Kayran fight easier (still not comfortable)

The good news is thats the ONLY fight of its type in game

You need to use Yyban ( the Y sign that ugly wizard screaming at you to use) to trap the tentical on ground and then havk it apart

I think it was 3 tenticals on easy mode and then goto far left side and climb up the broken bridge to do final move.

What I did (besides swearing allot) was put the Y sign down and then leap and roll away.
Repeat till tentical is stuck and then you hack apart
Repeat

Its an annoying fight and should not have made it into TW2 to be honest
But as I said, its only one of its kind in game
So once your past, your past for good (just save soon as you exit fight so you accidently dont end up having to repeat)
