Hi everyone! I recently bought the Witcher 2 EE during the sale on GoG along with FTL and Hotline Miami. When I downloaded the games I ran into problems where I could not launch any of them, but after some research I got these launcher problems fixed... sort of. FTL and Hotline Miami run absolutely smoothly and without a hitch, but my problems with Witcher 2 EE remain the same unfortunately.

Problem: Every time I try to launch the game an error message appears saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."
I have tried all the trouble shooting solutions but this problem still persists.

Is there anyone that has/is experiencing this same problem? Is there any solutions to fix this or am I pretty much screwed?

I'm also having problems with the launcher.exe. My HD is partitioned in two units: C: and D: My C: unit is where I have windows installed, while my D: unit is where I keep most of my files and where I install my games. I started having problems with windows and had to format my C: unit. After I reinstalled windows, all my games were still there in D:, but the launcher for W2EE stopped working. I don't even get an error message. Funny enough, if I go to the bin folder and start the game directly through the witcher2.exe, it works! Apparently, something related to the launcher is installed in C:, not D: with the rest of the game files, but I don't know what it is or how to fix it. Can anyone help me with this?

Check for plugins AGAIN. This problem is 90% guaranteed to be caused by a plugin. Windows key + R and then type appwiz.cpl then enter and find any program that has plugin in the name of it. Uninstall it. I fixed mine this way, also it could be caused by a corrupt download, try reinstalling\redownloading it
