callofstalker: Pick axe deals about half the damage of some of the best swords in the game so it's not a big deal using pick axe instead of a sword. What impressed me most is that he does this, the most difficult fight in the game, in insane difficulty. Another thing that impressed me is gargoyles dying so quickly, i tried this fight even with the easy difficulty and with one of the best silver swords in the game, Addan Deith, with Sun, Fire and Ysgith runes(i can use 3 Ysgiths too but i like having different runes) and even then they didn't die this quick. Which silver sword and runes did you use against the gargoyle?

Kyozo: The small amount of damage the pickaxe did forced the fight to last longer than would have been necessary if I used a regular sword. Added an extra wave of gargoyles or two.

If you noticed during the fight, the operator actually friendly fires his gargoyles as I'm rolling away causing them to die.

As for the sword I think its the last one you get with 2 sun runes and Ysgith. Ill check next time I'm on.
Now that i know how the gargoyles die so easily i feel like doing the operator in insane difficulty with just a hammer. I didn't know the game had friendly fire enabled, i mean i played the game from beginning to end 4 times and have many half playthroughs but haven't seen a friendly fire incident, and i managed to make enemies hit each other with fireballs in many fights but just not this one. Maybe they were inflicting damage on each other too but i didn't notice because it was not much but because of operator's attack power he manages to severely hurt the gargoyles?

curlyhairedboy: hmm. i know heliotrope works during this fight, strange that the combat finishers don't.

hanns.g: Heliotrope and Berserker Mode do. Group Finisher does not.
interesting. :D
