So im stuck fighting the dragon ontop of the tower. Tried every thing i can think of but cant seem to find the correct tactic that does some damage :/

It's pretty hard to hit her without being hit yourself. Thus, make sure quen is up most of the time. What I found to work was bait her into lunging at you with her teeth but be just out of range when she does, then quickly roll in, hit her once, roll away. You just have to be patient, its a pretty tough battles

Also, when she kind of rears up to blow fire, get underneath her and hit her in the head right when she lowers herself back down.

The Setup: Pretty much everything into the sword master line, and some quest reward sword that does about 45 damage.

The Strategy: Stay close. If you get too far away, the dragon starts getting into its flying and crawling attacks where you can't hurt it.

Be close enough that you're getting it to claw you: Roll away, roll back, 1 quick hit, roll away again. Repeat. If you can convince the dragon to stay up and keep clawing at you, the fight shouldn't take more than about 30 seconds.

I'll repeat though - 1 quick hit. Don't get greedy. You can't interrupt the dragon, and it's more than happy to separate your head from your torso if you get sloppy.

Yeah thx thats what i was doing and it took me a long time but finaly beat it :P thought i was doing something wrong since that took me a good 5-10 minutes of doing so :P hehe

I found that up until the very last phase, I could usually get in two or three strong strikes before I needed to roll away.

But yeah, just make sure to pop a Swallow, the sword damage increasing potion (Rook?) and whatever your favorite third potion is. And coat your silver blade with the oil of your choice.

Beyond that, it is just a matter of dive-rolling to dodge strikes, and then hitting it in the side of its neck. And, of course, making sure to have a quen up whenever possible.

I just did this by always making sure I had my quen up. roll in hit the head 1 or 2 times, you either get hit or you dodge roll away. repeat. if it ever does the fire breathing move. that is when you can time your strong attack as it lands. you can also time a strong attack when it does the 2 fly overs and lands. I had a 50 dmg silver sword. I needed to hit it with 3 strong attacks + 3-5 fast, forgot how many, to finally win.

without quen, you will die.

don't spam the keys, or you won't be able to dodge roll in time.
