So, just bought this game and it's awesome. I'm at that castle escape at the moment and dont know how to get further. I sneek past the gaurds and enter a room with the barrones(?) and that oestein guy dunno his full name. So, she asked me how the king was, i said he was a good king. Now i'll have to follow that guy. When were out of the room he calls some gaurds and stuff. Idk how to get further cuz in every room there like 3of them and i cant kill them because i've no arm and weps.. I'm getting a bit annoyed so if someone knows how to do this please tell me :[

Sounds like you're in the La Valette dungeon, sneaking around and looking to escape.

Firstly, when you freed yourself from your cell and took out the two guards, you should have found a weapon (blackjack) and other items just outside your cell.

If you use the Z key often - your Medallion - it will light up containers and dropped goods. You need to throughly loot the areas you travel through and the guards you take down.

Once you're armed, try to take out guard from behind, and one by one. Extinguish ("Use") all the torches you come across so you can sneak around better. If you find yourself facing more than one guard, don't get surrounded. Dodge, use Signs (magic) to protect yourself - Quen is useful in doing that. Axil (make sure to hold the key down until the spell takes effect ) is very useful in making one guard in a group your temporary ally.

I'd start over from the point you free yourself from your cell, or backtrack and look for the goods you apparently overlooked (weapons, clothing, etc).

he calls the guard to run straight back to your cells or runs back the way you came. You are to sneak somewhere safe, the cell room on your left or the empty way on your right. I dont know how to explain it right :(

his purpose is to distract all the guards away from your paths, just try finding somewhere to hide until all the guards are gone and you can run straight to the exist.

Thx man, so just start over and find some weapons? Will there be some armor to? Or should i just fight without getting hit? I'll try agian in a min.

Tyvm! Hmm, when i try to get back to my cell, there are like 3gaurds in 1room, inpossible get past them i guess. Thx for the help to. I'll try to run from where i came. Thx!

Yeah, I'd start over from the point where you get out of your cell. You passed up some good stuff, including a Moon Rune. Be sure to look around and loot everything you can get your hands on.

There will be some decent clothing & stuff, don't expect plate armor, though. Don't be afraid to explore around and look, for example, there's some nice stuff in a basement torture chamber.

You're still a pretty weak Witcher at this stage, so try to not get hit, yes. You're biggest challenge will be groups of guards (more than one), if that happens, use hit-and-run tactics and try to only face one at a time. The best way to take out guards, of course, is to wait until you can approach them from behind, then it's mouse2 - knock them out.

no you dont turn back to your cell. This is where the guard will runs to. Basically find some where to hide from all the guards that will run toward you. The ambassador does that so all the guards will be drawn away from your path ahead. You just have to avoid where the guards will run to, and then you will have safe path.
