Honesty is the best policy when running a service based business like GOG, informing Oceanic users that they would be purchasing a censored version on the main store page based on their profile settings would completely prevent an issue like this from happening, instead most companies would rather prefer to "sweep things under the rugs" as one would say.
Witcher 2 from what most can assume, is a product of extremely high pedigree and such honesty to potential customers would not impact sales negatively at all, in fact, it would create a greater sense of trust between the company and the general consumer, which as we all know is extremely important when running a business.
Lavec: You've got that arse up. mezla1058 ordered a pizza that normally comes with anchovies, he picked it up and when he got home he noticed it came without anchovies. He's asking for his money back or the anchovies reinstated but the pizza shop is refusing because the menu has changed and it says it doesn't have anchovies. That pizza shop no longer stocks anchovies so there only choice is to offer a refund in my books - it's no good saying you can put your own anchovies on it.
cjrgreen: No, he already knew or should have known it had no "anchovies" when he paid for it. He is not entitled to the value of some other bargain, because he never made a bargain for anything other than what he purchased.
As a customer from New Zealand, how could he have known about the censorship if he pre-purchased on the 10th? There was nothing on the GOG site or forums that would indicate that New Zealand would be receiving the censored edition, only after the credit purchase was accepted did he find out that the version had the (AU) tag next to the name.
